Answers to Your Questions About Booking a Charter Motor Coach
How far in advance should I charter my bus?
We recommend that you contact us as soon as your dates are firm. The availability of motorcoaches can be especially tight some times of the year, and our buses may be booked as much as a year in advance during these weeks.
What do I need to do to reserve a motorcoach?
We will need to know the date the motorcoach is needed, the destination, and approximately how many passengers there will be. It is also helpful to know whether the passengers will have luggage that must be stored below.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment can be made with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover credit cards, ACH, cash or pre-approved check.
How many passengers will the Kay-Lee Transportation buses accommodate?
We have three coaches that accommodate up to 56 passengers and one that seats up to 52.
What features do the Kay-Lee Transportation’s motorcoaches have?
Our coaches are equipped with air ride suspension, A/C, tinted windows, Wi-Fi, adjustable seats, footrests, power outlets, overhead storage, individual light/air controls, and clean restrooms.
Are your motorcoaches handicap accessible?
Kay-Lee Transportation Services has one motorcoach that is ADA wheelchair accessible that has a wheelchair lift.
Do your coaches travel in inclement weather?
Yes! The Department of Transportation requires chains on all coaches beginning September 1 each year. There are some weather events that we must “ride out,” but our drivers drive in most weather conditions. We regularly transport skiers to the Colorado ski resorts.
What destinations do you serve?
We offer group transportation throughout the Continental US.
What credentials do your drivers hold?
All our drivers have a commercial drivers license and a minimum of 3 years of motorcoach driving experience. They have clean driving records, and must pass a DOT physical, drug test, back screen, and background check.
Drivers are expected to present a professional appearance and operate the buses in a safe, efficient, and timely manner within DOT regulations and the posted speed limit. Drivers will assist passengers during boarding and exiting. They will load and unload luggage up to 80 pounds.
What are your protocols for COVID-19 mitigation?
Kay-Lee Transportation is committed to providing a clean environment for both employees and guests while aboard our motorcoaches. Our “Clean Care” guidelines have been developed to meet the those set forth by the CDC, as well as the recommendations of the travel industry and the medical community. We carry thermometers and rapid COVID test kits on all motorcoaches.
Prior to every trip:
- Operators clean and disinfect each vehicle.
- We clean all surfaces using EPA/CDC approved disinfectants.
During extended, multiple-day trips:
- Critical touch points are cleaned and sanitized.
- High touch areas are sanitized using EPA/CDC approved disinfectants.
We encourage customers to have communication with us about their group’s needs, including any social distancing desires, to ensure passenger comfort within the vehicles.
Passengers & Guests can participate in safety precautions by following CDC Guidelines:
- Wash hands often and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others.
- If you are sick, think you may be sick, have been exposed to someone who is sick, or have a temperature, do not travel.
